Getting back on track . . .
I have to confess that my Together Throught the NT reading has slacked off . . . with everything going on lately I've let many key items slip off my radar screen and our reading has been one of them.
Today marks another milestone in our reading, though, and another opportunity to get back on track. We finish the book of Acts and begin Romans today! If you've let your reading slip, as I have, take some time today and read Acts 28 and Romans 1. You'll have completed one day of the challenge.
If you reading through the NT with me, please drop me a note to let me know how it's going for you. If you haven't been reading the NT, why not start today to read with us as we read Together Through the NT this summer.

Strike two . . . in three days! Sorry for not posting on Friday and for the delay today. I'm failed to get up early on Friday (a.k.a. I was lazy and kept hitting the snooze!). When I did get up I hit the floor running and completely forgot to post.
Hope you've having a better week than I in regard to your Through the NT reading. Today's passage is John 15-16. Enjoy.

Thirteen Weeks to Go!
This WEEK'S Through the NT reading is John 3 – 16. If you are behind on your reading, set a goal this week to make up at least 1/4 of all the chapters you're missing. Let's keep plugging away. It will be so great if, by God's grace, we are able to get through the NT this summer.

Getting the Conversation Going . . .
From a previous daily reading . . .
Jesus said, "Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel's sake, but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life." (Mark 10:29-30)
What does these verses mean - especially the "along with persecutions"? It seems like a funny repayment for leaving your home, loved one and land. Any thoughts on this?
